INNOWO in 2023: A Sustainable Year Full of Challenges and Successes

The year 2023 has been very successful, productive, and full of challenges for INNOWO. It has been abundant in significant achievements and extremely valuable collaborations. We have implemented many important and influential projects in the circular economy and healthcare sectors.
We would like to express our gratitude to all our partners for their support in such meaningful and valuable projects!
Below is a brief overview of the most important projects implemented by the INNOWO Institute in 2023:
Nymphe project
A four-year project funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program.
The project aims to eliminate water and soil pollution through the development of new effective bioremediation/revitalization strategies inspired by nature.
CirCon4Climate
Circular Construction Practices for Climate.
An international project part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI).
The project's mission is to strengthen circular practices in the construction sector in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovenia, based on experiences from Germany.
The goal is to promote the concept of circular construction contributing to the creation of more environmentally neutral buildings.
Circular Week 2023
An international series of events and initiatives dedicated to the circular economy and sustainable development.
The initiative aims to promote the concept of the circular economy, support sustainable business models, and encourage collaboration.
Over 40 different events were held during the event, gathering approximately 100 experts from across Europe and over 1500 participants.
The event was organized in collaboration with the European Circular Stakeholders Platform and 10 embassies.
Study Visits to the Netherlands
Sustainable Health
A study visit for Polish healthcare managers organized in collaboration with Philips and Dehora.
The trip focused on sustainable development, green hospital concepts, and value-based healthcare.
Circular Textiles Days in the Netherlands
A study visit organized by the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Poland and INNOWO for Polish stakeholders, including journalists, entrepreneurs, and startups.
Participants had the opportunity to visit MUD Jeans, New Order of Fashion Lab, and United Repair Center.
Alberta Energy Mission to Poland
A Polish-Ukrainian energy mission for Canadian companies in the energy sector.
The Canadian Embassy in Poland, in collaboration with the Alberta government and INNOWO, organized B2B meetings to facilitate international cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian companies and Canadian firms.
INNOWO Reports
Puro Hotels ESG Report
INNOWO prepared a report for Puro Hotels on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) actions, providing comprehensive documentation on sustainable business practices.

"The Impact of Economic Situation and Pricing Policy for Refunded Medicines"
A report developed in collaboration with the Polish Association of Pharmaceutical Industry Employers (PZPPF).
The report includes economic data on the prices of refunded medicines and manufacturing costs, discussing the consequences of the current pricing policy for refunded medicines.

"The Role of Labeling in Closing Economic Circuits GS1"
Co-authored by experts from GS1 Polska.
The report is a compendium of ways to effectively use new identification technologies for the circular economy.

"Time for a Digital Economy"
A report prepared by the Digital Poland Foundation addressing how digital transformation can contribute to a more sustainable future.
INNOWO provided recommendations for the Circular Economy (GOZ) in this report.

Workshops for entrepreneurs
"Open Your Business to Circular Benefits – Workshops for Entrepreneurs."
In collaboration with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), INNOWO conducted workshops for entrepreneurs, supporting the transformation of Polish businesses towards the circular economy.
Approximately 150 entrepreneurs participated in the meetings.
Health Management
A quarterly dedicated to healthcare in Poland.
Published by the Institute of Innovation and Responsible Development INNOWO in collaboration with the Institute of Health Protection at SGH and the Polish Coalition for Personalized Medicine, under the editorial supervision of Prof. Dr. Hab. Ekon. Ewelina Nojszewska SGH and Dr. Hab. Beata Jagielska PKMP. The magazine is produced with the support of ROCHE.
The honorary patronage of this periodical was taken by leading Polish medical universities: Warsaw Medical University, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Gdańsk Medical University.
Each issue addresses current, most important issues in the field of healthcare organization in Poland, commenting on and explaining the consequences of legislative and procedural changes, reporting breakthrough clinical research.

Polish School of Molecular Biology
Workshops conducted as part of the "Polish School of Molecular Biology" aimed to familiarize doctors and diagnosticians with the basics of molecular biology and genetics, as well as the application of molecular diagnostics in clinical practice. Future medicine, especially oncology, is primarily precision medicine, focused on each patient, and its integral part will be advanced molecular diagnostics based on the latest scientific achievements in the field of molecular biology of tumors.
In collaboration with the Polish Coalition for Personalized Medicine, we conducted 7 workshops, training over 5000 specialists in innovative molecular diagnostic methods.
