The XVI European Economic Congress is behind us!

Yesterday marked the conclusion of the XVI European Economic Congress, and INNOWO had the pleasure of participating in this prestigious event. This year's edition focused on the theme: "Transform today, change tomorrow. Transformation for the future."

The event was not only an opportunity for networking but also a platform for inspiring debates and exchanges of views, attracting thousands of participants at the International Congress Center in Katowice. Throughout the congress, we had the privilege of listening to prominent experts, decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and scientists who discussed key economic and social issues.

As INNOWO, an institute dedicated to sustainable development, we are pleased that environmental protection was among the main topics of discussion and remains a top priority for the European Union.

Many significant issues were addressed, such as:

  • Climate policy,

  • Sustainable economy,

  • Green investments,

  • Business strategies promoting ecology,

  • Legal regulations related to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance),

  • Decarbonization of the economy,

  • Greenwashing.

Interestingly, for the first time, a special green zone called "EEC Green Planet" was created during the European Economic Congress, serving as a unique exhibition space that combined conference and networking aspects, inspired by the idea of sustainable development and the concept of a green city.

It is worth noting that the theme of sustainable development also extended to the construction and healthcare sectors. Sessions dedicated to construction focused on key aspects of green building, technologies supporting sector transformation, and energy efficiency. Speakers addressed the challenges associated with the impact of construction on the climate and environment, analyzing key directions of change and necessary legislative reforms to achieve the ambitious goals of the European Union.

We warmly invite you to visit the Circon4Climate project website, which aims to strengthen circular economy practices in the construction sector for climate protection: https://buildingcircularity.eu/

In the healthcare field, issues such as optimizing expenses in medical facilities, cost reduction, and development opportunities were discussed. Practical examples and experiences were presented, and experts deliberated on how to ensure that the patient always comes first, considering various perspectives of decision-makers, medical professionals, experts, and patients.

We invite you to visit the Green Coalition for Health website, which is a collaboration platform for sustainable development in the healthcare sector in Poland. The initiative targets management staff of healthcare institutions, representatives of local governments, and decision-makers: https://www.zielonakoalicjadlazdrowia.pl/

This important event demonstrated how crucial cooperation between the public, private, and academic sectors is in shaping the future of Europe. We thank all participants for their valuable insights and inspiring discussions!
