Yesterday, the latest UNEP/GRID-Warsaw report titled "Business for Change" was published. This recurring publication is developed as part of the Climate Leadership program, which aims to support companies on their path toward climate neutrality.
This is the fourth edition of the report summarizing the activities of the community gathered under the Climate Leadership program. It features in-depth analyses of ESG trends that reflect how businesses are responding to current environmental and climate-related challenges.
We especially recommend the article by Agnieszka Sznyk, President of the INNOWO Institute, titled “Non-financial reporting under ESRS E5 – resource use and circular economy”. The article can be found in the Global Trends: E for ENVIRONMENTAL section, on page 82.
How to effectively transition to a circular economy?
New legislative frameworks present both challenges and opportunities for companies seeking to transition toward a circular economy. The CSRD Directive requires not only a thorough analysis of environmental and social impacts, but also greater transparency in communications with investors and consumers.
Introducing non-financial reporting in line with the new guidelines is a key step in this process. Of particular importance is the role of circular economy in reporting, covered by the ESRS E5 standard, which addresses resource use and circularity.
You can find more on non-financial reporting under ESRS E5 in the publication. We invite you to read the full report!

Since 2019, Climate Leadership has been supporting companies in their efforts to achieve climate neutrality. The program builds a community that, based on up-to-date climate knowledge, best practices, concrete solutions across various industries, and the experience of managerial staff, empowers businesses to make decisions that have a positive impact on the climate and the natural environment.
