Based on the long-standing experience of Łukasiewicz - Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining, and Łukasiewicz - Institute of Precision Mechanics, Łukasiewicz-WIT creates innovation in the fields of construction materials and machinery, modular construction, automation, and robotisation of manufacturing, new and sustainable metallurgy and metalworking techniques, metallic coatings and composites.
Warsaw Institute of Technology was established on 1 of January 2023 as a result of merger of Łukasiewicz– Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining and Łukasiewicz – Institute of Precision Mechanics, of which mission and activities Łukasiewicz-WIT continues. Thanks to its modern approach to research, the Institute develops innovative products, technologies, and solutions for the automatization and robotization of construction processes, temporary structures, construction materials, thermal and hydro isolation, rock mining and mineral resources, waste management, modular construction, heat and thermo-chemical treatment, functional coatings, corrosion, and anti-corrosion techniques, electroplating and biomedical engineering.
Łukasiewicz-WIT is a member of Łukasiewicz Research Network - a unique network of research institutes on a national scale, the third largest in Europe. The R&D work carried out at Łukasiewicz addresses the most important societal challenges such as Health, Sustainable Economy and Energy, Smart Mobility, and Digital Transformation. Warsaw Institute of Technology hosts the team of Industry Contact Point Low-Emission and Clean Energy.
Industry Contact Point Low-emission Technologies and Clean Energy
The Industry Contact Point Low-emission Technologies and Clean Energy offers substantive support for entrepreneurs and scientists in solutions increasing energy efficiency in construction, low-emission technologies in transport and concerning energy produced from renewable sources in installations meeting the highest standards of pollutant emissions, as well solutions for optimizing energy storage to use in industry, transport and households. The scope of activities includes issues related to the development of technologies and solutions in the following areas: energy-efficient construction, passive, renewable energy sources, batteries and energy storage, energy management systems, hydrogen technologies, low-emission transport.
Industry Contact Point Low-emission Technologies and Clean Energy offers:
Ø trainings and workshops;
Ø individual consultations for scientists and entities;
Ø matchmaking and networking brokerage events;
Ø cooperation with research organizations;
Ø identifying and searching partners for the project.
Industry Contact Point Low-emission Technologies and Clean Energy gives support in Horizon Europe calls related to: energy-efficient and passive construction; bio and synthetic fuels; energy grids; hydrogen technologies; wind power; solar installations; hydrogen technologies and digital solutions for energy-efficient buildings.
