The REPowerEU project is now available online!

The official website of the REPowerEU project – Green Energy Transition for Local Governments – is now live! It’s a comprehensive resource for local authorities aiming to effectively implement the energy transition in their regions. The project is carried out under a competition organized by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and is financed through the National Recovery Plan (KPO).

The main goal of the project is to support local government units (LGUs) in developing the competencies necessary to carry out the energy transition at the local level. The program includes a wide range of training, advisory, and analytical activities aimed at building administrative capacity in the field of green and energy transition. The project is being implemented from November 2024 to June 2025 and targets representatives of LGUs from all 16 voivodeships in Poland.

The REPowerEU – Green Energy Transition for Local Governments project is being implemented by the Institute of Innovation and Responsible Development INNOWO as part of a competition organized by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and financed through the National Recovery Plan (KPO). The project includes 16 training sessions held in all provincial capitals across Poland, 6 conferences, and 4 study visits to Germany, France, and Denmark, facilitating knowledge and experience exchange in sustainable development, green transition, and renewable energy. Additionally, educational materials and reports have been prepared, and a digital Knowledge Platform has been created to provide access to tools, documentation, and examples of best practices. The project’s outcomes will include increased ecological awareness, enhanced competencies within local administrations, and the promotion of sustainable development. These efforts will contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions and the lasting implementation of pro-environmental policies within local government units.
