ONCOROUNDTABLE on diagnosis and treatment of lung and prostate cancer

On behalf of the Polish Coalition of Personalized Medicine, the Polish Cancer Society, INNOWO Institute and Philips we kindly invite to participate in the pan-European seminar “Oncoroundtable 2022. Managing cancer patients - best practices, most effective solutions, new systems and process design on different European markets”


The conference will be dedicated to an innovative, multidisciplinary approach to coordinated care and early diagnosis in oncology in Europe on an example of lung and prostate cancer. A number of international experts will discuss and exchange experiences on effective methods of organising processes and therapies in oncology in different therapeutic areas, as well as how the optimal patient pathway should be designed and managed, based on best practices from different European countries.


The seminar consists of two sessions: SESSION 1 | Best practice, innovative solutions and barriers for implementation in coordinated care and early diagnosis in oncology in Europe - an example of lung and prostate cancer

SESSION 2 | Policy approaches to the development of coordinated care and early diagnosis in oncology in Europe - an example of lung and prostate cancer


During the first session, Prof. Martina Koziar Vasakova MD. PhD. from Charles University in Prague and Ante Marusic MD. PhD. (Clinical Lead for lung Cancer Screening, UK) will discuss the innovative approaches to lung cancer screening. Thanks to the Polish representatives, prof. Joanna Chorostowska MD. PhD. from NITLD and Adam Maciejczyk MD. PhD. representing Lower Silesian Oncology Centre, we will learn more about the National Oncological Network in Poland (Krajowa Sieć Onkologiczna). We will also have the opportunity to hear a commentary from the Head of the CT department, a radiologist (Charles University) - prof. Lukas Lambert MD. PhD. and a speech by the Director of Translational Lung Research Center Heidelberg - prof. Hans-Urlich Kauczor MD. PhD.

At the second session, prof. Piotr Rutkowski MD. PhD. - the President of the Polish Oncological Society will share his extensive experience and will tell us more about the National Cancer Plan. Thanks to Diana-Loreta Păun MD. PhD. - the Presidential Adviser in the Department of Public Health, we will get to know the Romanian policy approach in oncology. Whereas Tit Albreht MD. PhD., the Head of the Centre for Health Care at the National Institute of Public Health of Slovenia will talk about the Slovenian perspective and approach. We will also hear the perspective of representatives of patient organisations: one from the EU level (European Cancer Patient Coalition) and one from the Czech Republic (Cancer Patients Voice), who will talk about systemic problems and the best solutions in the patient care system.
